Position Summary
The Clinic Manager provides HIV / STI program management and clinic coordination at Seattle’s LGBTQ Center. As the Clinic Manager, this person is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the clinic, communicating with clients, ensuring clinic compliance with state guidelines, and providing team oversight. This role works cooperatively with the Director of Health Services to develop and carry out the HIV / STI program goals and implement the strategic plan.
Roles and Responsibilities
Team Oversight
- Create a positive, affirming, and community-centered work environment
- Develop an annual training schedule for clinic staff.
- Coordinate staff schedules, including vacation and PTO requests.
- Provide onsite coverage for HIV / STI Testing or PrEP Navigation appointments when staff callout sick or are out of the office.
- Conduct annual performance evaluations
- Conduct regularly scheduled 1 : 1 meetings with staff members to discuss opportunities for growth, professional development, and progress towards individual goals.
- Provide crisis and de-escalation support to staff and clients.
- Work collaboratively with the Director of Health Services to recruit, interview, select, and onboard new Health Services team members.

HIV / STI Program Management
Work with Data Scientists to ensure reports are accurate and submitted on time.Work with Data Scientist to conduct data quality checks.Assist Data Scientist with Data reconciliationMonitor compliance with legal & medical guidelines, internal policies and quality standards (e.g.HIPAA / OSHA / 340B compliance).
Provide ongoing assessment and evaluation of the clinical program to ensure that client needs, agency standards and funding requirements are met.Coordinate with the Director of Health Services to conduct regular department staff meetings.Partner with the Director of Health Services to develop and carry out activities in support of theHealth Services Strategic Plan.
Track contract deliverables alongside the Director of Health Services.Clinic Oversight
Manage inventory, including tracking and purchasing supplies.Conduct HIV and STI test controls and maintain control log.Conduct client follow-up with patients who have a reactive HIV or STI test.Ensure all client test results and appointment referral documentation are entered into the electronic health record system.Review and close client encounters in the electronic health record system.Communicate with clients and direct reports in a compassionate and trauma informed manner.Oversee the collection and maintenance of records on clients for statistical purposes according to the confidentiality / privacy policy of the organization.Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for clinic related tasks.Train staff on clinic operating procedures.Serve as Manager on Duty for one shift per week.Software Programs Used
