ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage all aspects of the client’s event experience from initial communication to final settlement with the primary objectives of providing a positive outcome for all parties and a genuine desire to return to our venue
- Fulfill event contract terms, as well as collaborate with client and internal departments to maintain compliance regarding use of space and access schedule
- Collaborate with Finance, Security and Guest Services departments to develop event staffing and crowd management plans to maximize ingress/egress efficiency and ensure guest safety
- Partner with other Event Managers to identify challenges of concurrent bookings, develop facility plans and layouts to communicate overlap issues internally, as well as work with clients to ensure a successful event
- Supervise the overall experience of patrons, talent and production teams in WAMU Theater for assigned concerts. These responsibilities including event operations, Front of House (FOH) layout and presentation, merchandise vendor/display and incorporation of food and beverage points of sale. In addition, collaborate with the Guest Services and Security teams to place and manage staff and submit post event reporting
- Develop and distribute in a timely manner necessary event manifests, production notes, layouts and other critical details using the Momentus software platform, Microsoft Word and CAD. In addition, schedule and facilitate in-person/virtual production meetings as needed
- Coordinate preparation and design of floor plans and ensure compliance with applicable fire, building and safety codes
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource and service-oriented ambassador of the Lumen Field complex to all clients, vendors and employees
- Fulfill the duties and responsibilities of the Manager on Duty (MOD) as assigned by the Director of Event Operations
- Conduct, document and/or file post event reports, evaluations and meetings in a timely manner
- Other duties and assignments as directed by the Director of Event Operations

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- 3-5 years of experience managing large-scale events. Experience working at sporting venue or entertainment facility is preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Venue Management or a related field is preferred
- Previous experience and knowledge of theater and concert production is preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of cost estimating and billing, production or event fiscal management and event settlement
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office is required. CAD layout design knowledge is preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with a diverse team
- Must be a self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills and a desire to learn
- Expected to maintain a team-oriented attitude that fosters positive relationships with coworkers, event staff members and vendors
- Ability to establish solid relationships with external clients, promoters, agents, artists, etc.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at once
- Ability to work varied days and hours, which may include weekends, holidays and overnights
- Passion for the event and live entertainment business and a desire for growth

- The salary range for this position is: $68,000 - $75,000. The salary range applies to the current posting. The posted salary range may vary based on key factors including, but not limited to, education, job-related knowledge, experience and skill set.
