POSITION SUMMARY

The Fan Development Manager will play a pivotal role in expanding the fan bases for both Sounders FC and Reign FC, with a strong focus on engaging multicultural and multilingual communities. This position is responsible for developing and executing strategic initiatives that foster meaningful connections, enhance fan experiences, and drive measurable growth in attendance, engagement, and revenue. This role will ensure that outreach efforts are impactful, authentic, and support the club's mission to unify and uplift through soccer.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Audience Growth & Community Engagement

• Strategic Outreach: Develop and execute targeted strategies to grow fan engagement within multicultural and multilingual communities, ensuring alignment with organizational goals for fan loyalty and revenue growth.
• Community Partnerships: Identify and cultivate relationships with cultural organizations, community leaders, and local institutions to amplify the club's presence in diverse communities.
• Fan Growth Programs: Design initiatives that drive measurable increases in ticket sales, game attendance, and digital engagement. Set and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate success.

Media Relations & Content Amplification:

• Content Creation: Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to develop culturally relevant content across platforms, ensuring consistency in messaging for multilingual audiences.
• Bilingual Communication: Support the creation and distribution of bilingual materials, such as email communications, social media posts, and signage ensuring cultural accuracy and impact.

Fan Experience Integration:

• Fan Experience Integration: Partner with internal stakeholders to create inclusive and engaging events and matchday experiences, incorporating music, entertainment, and other elements reflective of multicultural fan preferences.

Partnerships & Community Collaboration:

• Build Strategic Partnerships: Develop relationships with partners, local businesses, non-profits, influencers, and community organizations to create mutually beneficial partnerships that drive community outreach, brand presence, and revenue opportunities for both Sounders FC and Reign FC.
• Youth and Grassroots Outreach: Serve as a contributor to youth outreach efforts with an emphasis in target multicultural communities to promote soccer and increase engagement at all levels. Establish programs that contribute to fan growth while also building long-term community support.

Other duties as assigned in support of our organization and affiliated clubs.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in fan development, community outreach, or marketing, with a focus on diverse audiences.
• Bilingual Skills: Fluency in Spanish and English required. Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
• Cultural Competency: Deep understanding of multicultural communities, including their traditions, trends, and fan behaviors.
• Event Planning Expertise: Demonstrated success in planning and executing engaging community events and matchday experiences.
• Soccer Knowledge: Familiarity with soccer culture, particularly within diverse communities, is highly desirable.
• Analytical Mindset: Ability to use data and insights to measure outcomes and optimize initiatives.
• Collaboration Skills: Experience working across departments, including marketing, communications, and revenue teams.
• Proactive and innovative mindset, with significant discretion in prioritizing tasks and initiatives to achieve fan growth objectives.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• This role requires regular on-site presence at our Headquarters & Training Facility in Renton, WA and at Reign FC and Sounders FC matches at Lumen Field, as part of a hybrid work arrangement.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Must be able to facilitate own local travel to events in the greater Seattle region.
• Must reside within Washington state upon date of hire.
• Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.
• Responsibilities include regular work outdoors and may require standing on feet for long periods of time, as well as some lifting of up to 20 pounds.

The annual salary range for this position is $70,000 - $85,000. Base pay at time of offer will take into account job-related knowledge, skills and experience required for the role, internal equity and market.
