What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community Engagement Mgr position at Seattle Theatre Group?
The Community Engagement Manager supports the Associate Director of Community Engagement on all fronts. This role will connect community programs to fit into the larger picture of STG’s vision and mission. This position earns $29.25 to $40.95/hour, with a midpoint of $35.00/hour and has benefits including Paid Vacation, Sick, and Holiday pay as well as Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, LTD and STD insurance as well as a 403b with match.
- Curate, create, and facilitate programs for the community at Kerry Hall, particularly events, workshops, and series for music floor and mixed use floor that pertain to music, visual art, theatre, and mixed media.
- Work closely with Assoc. Dir of Community Engagement to ensure engagement and partnerships strategies are strongly aligned with organizational goals
- Coordinate front of house & hospitality for Community Engagement productions and special events
- Manage day-to-day operations of assigned programs
- Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration activity to leverage impact and engagement both internally and externally of assigned programs
- Ensure a series of concurrent projects with competing deadlines and pressures are delivered with high quality, on time and on budget
- Provide logistical support for on and off-site events, performances and programs as needed
- Receptive to ongoing feedback and provide meaningful feedback to ECE Manager with the goal of improving our programs
- Manage the collection and reporting data related to programs under Education Partnership Manager
- Ability to adapt schedule and plans to meet participants’ needs
- Other duties as assigned to contribute to the team and overall success of the department
QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge and passion for community engagement and event planning
- 4 years of event producing and planning
- Experience in public speaking and facilitation.
- Proficiency in relevant Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and internet-based research
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong organizational ability
- Possess a positive attitude and calm demeanor in a very fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Ability to exercise confidentiality and discretionary judgment.
- Write and speak a second language is a plus
