Job Overview:
SeattleNTC is hiring for a New Patient Coordinator (NPC). The New Patient Coordinator is responsible for fielding new patient inquiries and referrals, screening for appropriateness for SNTC services, obtaining health insurance information, and ensuring all patient intake forms are completed for their scheduled consultation appointment.
This position requires a highly professional demeanor, outstanding people and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work alone or in a group setting.
Hours and Pay:
Full-Time, Remote - Monday - Friday, 7:30 - 4:00. Pay depends on experience and qualifications.
New patient coordinator responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Patient Onboarding: Serve as the primary point of contact for new patients. Schedule initial consultations and coordinate the intake process for TMS, ECT, Spravato, and IV Ketamine Infusions.
- Information Collection: Gather and verify patient information, including personal details, medical history, and insurance coverage. Ensure all required documentation is complete and accurate.
- Insurance Verification: Verify insurance coverage and benefits for all treatments. Assist patients in understanding their financial responsibilities and obtain necessary authorizations.
- Coordination with Clinical Staff: Communicate effectively with clinical staff to ensure seamless integration of patient information and treatment planning.
- Database Management: Maintain and update patient records in the electronic health record (EHR) system. Ensure compliance with privacy regulations and internal policies.
- Patient Communication: Provide clear information to patients about the intake process, treatment options, and next steps. Address any questions or concerns they may have.
- Follow-Up: Conduct follow-up calls to ensure patients have completed all necessary steps before their first appointment. Resolve any issues or obstacles that may arise during the intake process.
Position qualifications and requirements:
- Proven work experience as an Intake Coordinator or similar role
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Strong affinity for customer service
- Working knowledge of office management and filing systems
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and office software.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Understanding of medical terminology and insurance processes.
