Description
As the Support Services Associate II, you will be responsible for maintaining facility safety, order, and cleanliness and will provide backup assistance to other staff. In addition, you will provide work therapy support to guest and assist in coordinating volunteers.
Essential Functions
- Work closely with Case Management to manage guest work therapy (janitorial, kitchen, etc.) scheduling
- Train guests in how to perform work therapy tasks
- Schedule and conduct safety meetings with guest enrolled in work therapy
- Work with Support Services Administrator to coordinate volunteer activity
- Perform janitorial duties, including duties left over from a different shift.
- Assess and record safety hazards and maintenance needs.
- Perform random and frequent walks through the entire interior of the building. Record evening report in the staff log at the end of each shift.
- Handle issues that may arise with individuals during an overnight night sift (if applicable)
- Do occasional room checks or searches as needed.
- Respond to emergency calls on overnight phone (if applicable)
- Act as backup to Guest Services by performing Breathalyzer tests and Urine Analysis drug screens for individuals entering the building after curfew or returning from the hospital.
- Act as backup to assist in covering front desk (phones and monitoring visitors)
- Record and organize messages for clients and staff.
- Provide referrals for callers when necessary.
Qualifications
Qualification
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- 2 years of customer service experience is highly preferred
- 1 years of experience working in a food service or kitchen environment is highly preferred
- Food handler’s card is required
- Staying awake during overnight hours (if assigned to that shift) is required.
- Customer Services experience is highly preferred
- Previous janitorial experience is preferred
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk or sit for long periods of time in a temperature-controlled environment. Occasionally balance, twist, stoop, kneel, pushing, pulling, grasps and reach with hands/arms. Frequently wears latex gloves and handles chemicals. Occasionally lifts up to 20 pounds and walks uses stairways to climb to multiple floors within the facility. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Salary : $21 - $26
