Job Description:

As a Home-Based Family Services Peer Support Specialist, you will provide peer-based support and guidance to youth and families facing challenges related to mental health, parenting, and family dynamics. Drawing upon your own lived experience, you will offer empathy, encouragement, and practical assistance to help families navigate their unique journeys toward healing and resilience.

Home-Based Family Services Program:

Our Home-Based Family Services Program is a cornerstone of our commitment to accessible and effective mental health care. We recognize that families face unique stressors and dynamics that can impact their well-being, and we believe that providing therapy in the home environment can facilitate deeper connections and more meaningful progress. Our program is designed to:

• Promote Family Well-Being: We work collaboratively with families to address a variety of concerns, including communication difficulties, conflict resolution, parenting challenges, and behavioral issues. By providing therapy in the home setting, we aim to strengthen family relationships and enhance overall well-being.
• Tailor Interventions to Individual Needs: Our providers utilize evidence-based practices and personalized treatment approaches to meet the specific needs of each family. We recognize that every family is unique, and we strive to create individualized treatment plans that address the root causes of challenges and promote sustainable solutions.
• Empower Families: We believe in empowering families to build upon their strengths and develop the skills needed to navigate life's challenges effectively. Through therapy sessions, skill-building exercises, and ongoing support, we empower families to take an active role in their own healing and growth.
• Provide Culturally Responsive Care: We are committed to providing culturally responsive services that honor the diverse backgrounds and experiences of our clients. Qualifications:

• Lived experience with mental health challenges, parenting, or family dynamics is required.
• Strong empathy, active listening, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to establish rapport and build trusting relationships with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds.
• Knowledge of community resources and supports for families, including mental health services, social services, and peer support networks.
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage and motivate others.
• Comfort with providing support in a home-based or community-based setting.
• Commitment to self-care and maintaining boundaries in peer support relationships.
