What are the responsibilities and job description for the Oral Surgeon/Periodontist/Implantologist position at Seaview Dental at Stafford?
Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Oral Surgeon, Periodontist, or General Dentist with experience for implantology/surgery to join our dental practice. We are ideally looking for 1 day a week to replace our retiring existing periodontist so you will already have a foundation of a patient base. The day is flexible it could be either Wednesday or Thursday from 9-5 and if you are more comfortable starting out at every other week that would be fine too. We do not have a requirement for a certain amount you need to produce a day we will gladly schedule at your own pace and however you feel comfortable ; we are here to work with you and help we just want happy patients and good work at the end of the day. Also our retiring periodontist works 1 day a week in Jackson, NJ and if you wanted more hours/another day you could most likely pick up his day there too or do every other week between the two offices, it's really up to you we are flexible.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough examinations to diagnose diseases and conditions.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and preferences.
- Perform surgical procedures such as gum grafts, crown lengthenings, bone grafts, and dental implants.
- Utilize aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment during procedures.
- Collaborate with general dentists and other specialists to coordinate patient care.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of periodontal health.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records in compliance with regulations.
- Stay current with advancements in related fields.
Requirements
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid state dental license, malpractice insurance, CDS license, and CPR.
- Proficiency in infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, anatomy, and dental fabrication processes.
- Familiarity with Dentrix dental software systems is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated on industry trends.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $212,470.00 - $244,827.00 per year
