What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dock Master position at Seaview House Marina?
Seaview House Marina is seeking an experienced Dock Master to lead the marina operations for the upcoming 2025 season. The Dockmaster is responsible for overall operation of docks and all slip activity. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe mooring of vessels, general operation of the docks, assisting boaters, maintaining a safe and clean environment throughout the harbor, and supervising the dock staff.
General Responsibilities:
- Oversees the management of berthing, mooring, storage and servicing of boats within the marina, as well as seasonal marina rentals
- Direct, move, assist and securely moor vessels to dock
- Daily inspection and maintenance of docks to provide a clean and safe operation
- Provides the highest level of service to all guests
- Safely operates Marina owned marine and land vehicles
- Ability to multitask while also remaining professional in all situations
- First line of customer service for incoming boats
- Responsible for daily operations of marina docks
- Supervise renting of slips including transit activity and reservations
- Ensures that guests observe all marina rules and regulations
- Follow safety and environmental rules and complete required related training
- Other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Must have Captains license
- 2-5 years’ marina experience preferred
- Ability to learn and utilize marina software system, prior experience with Dockwa a plus
- Previous supervisor experience
- Ability to work safely around the water
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to swim
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Basic boat handling skills require
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
*This is a seasonal position- runs peak season only ( April- October)***

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
