Job Description
The Operations Support Contract is a critical role at SeaWide Express, handling the daily operations for our LTL/LCL transportation division. This position will perform essential operational and customer service duties for our Hawaii and Alaska Markets.
This individual will be responsible for managing and approving payment of all carrier/vendor invoices for our LTL/LCL freight division. The successful candidate will use discretion to audit shipment/service invoices to ensure maximum profitability and refuse payment of invalid costs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Auditing and approving payment of carrier/vendor invoices
- Verifying accurate carrier/vendor invoices and ensuring only contracted rates are used
- Deciding on final carrier/vendor payment amounts and approving for processing
- Communicating directly with carriers/agents regarding invoicing/documentation
- Creating and providing documentation to the accounting department
- Disputing charges directly with vendors as needed
