What are the responsibilities and job description for the EMT (Part-time) position at SeaWorld San Antonio?
Note: This is a Part-Time position in the EHS Department. Must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes weekdays, weekends, evenings and holidays to include a minimum of 3 shifts per week and up to 32 hours a week. Scope of practice is BLS modified for first aid.

- Assesses, stabilize, and treat patients on-site while determining the need for further medical intervention or transport.
- Provide care to ambassadors with workplace injuries.
- Conduct daily equipment and supply checks to ensure readiness.
- Support park-wide safety initiatives and report safety concerns to EHS.
- Participate in department training and drills.
- Maintain accurate patient care reports in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Serve as a company representative, delivering excellent customer service and ensuring a positive guest experience.
- Abel to assess and respond to medical emergencies to provide appropriate care.
What it takes to succeed:
- At least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR health care provider card (HCP).
- MUST possess and maintain a current Texas EMT-B, AEMT, EMT-P, or RN certification/licensure.
- Possession of valid driver's license preferred.
- Must be able to work around bodies of water and animals.
- Strong comprehensive and communication skills in all situations.
- Demonstrate the ability to receive and comprehend instructions verbally and/or in writing as well as use logical reasoning for simple and complex problem solving.
- Able to stand, walk, and work for long periods of time in extreme weather conditions.
- Willing to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, and extended hours based on park needs.
- Able to multitask while maintaining a positive attitude to ensure excellent guest service.
- Proactively identifies and mitigates safety risks by enforcing proper safety protocols, reporting hazards, and collaborating with EHS to improve guest and ambassador safety.
- Comply with all Department standards in addition to all SEAS grooming guidelines and employment standards.
- Able to successfully complete all legal, company, and department training requirements including but not limited to passing required tests and certifications within established timelines
- Able to lift, push and pull a minimum of 50 lbs. of equipment with or without accommodation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced theme park environment, including prolonged standing, walking long distances, and responding to emergencies in various terrains, elevations, and environmental conditions.
- Work closely with security, operations and local emergency services to coordinate medical responses, ensuring seamless communication and effective patient care.
- Serve as a representative of the company, delivering compassionate and professional care while maintaining a guest-focused approach.
Compensation: $15.50 per hour
