What are the responsibilities and job description for the Office Coordinator - Horticulture/Park Prep position at SeaWorld San Antonio?
This position will provide general clerical and project coordination for the Horticulture and Park Prep departments and assist in supporting additional tasks provided by leadership. Primary duties will involve records retention, data entry, basic filing, submitting, and processing work orders and requisition orders and help in maintaining compliance for capital projects and project tracking.

- Perform general office duties to include processing incoming and outgoing calls, departmental correspondence, and other administrative paperwork.
- Respond to inquiries related to the department and the park, via phone, email, letter or in person, while providing excellent guest service to both internal and external customers.
- Maintain department files according to department and company retention guidelines.
- Assist in the maintenance of employee records, which could include departmental employee files, timekeeping records, and employee status forms.
- Acquire quotes and availability updates from vendors and receive product deliveries.
- Complete department purchase requisitions and check requests. Able to assist with expense reports as requested.
- Submit and/or process departmental work orders. Follow up to ensure completion.
- Screen and schedule interviews for applicants for hiring manager.
- Maintain a clean and presentable work area.
- Assist with other department positions as business levels require, to include working in the park.
- Assist with other tasks assigned by the department when needed.
What it takes to succeed:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Advanced computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Knowledge or experience with SAP purchasing and work order system preferred.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills to include appropriate grammar usage.
- Must be able to answer multi-line phones and have excellent phone etiquette skills.
- Must be able to multi-task and adapt to changes in a fast-paced work environment.
- Must have at least 1 year experience working in an office environment providing administrative support
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that may include weekdays and holidays.
- Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time.
- Must be able to stand and walk in extreme weather conditions.
- Provide excellent service to guests and team members.
- Consistently practices safe work habits including, but not limited to the use of personal protective equipment, lifting, and reporting of unsafe situations
- Must be willing to comply with and ensure team members comply with all SEA grooming guidelines and employment standards.
- Must be able to successfully complete all legal, company, and department training requirements to include but not limited to passing required tests and certifications within established timelines.
