Horticulture Volunteer Program Intern
JOB SUMMARY
The Volunteer Coordinator Intern for Horticulture Projects will support the Conservancy in managing volunteer engagement for park horticulture and landscaping initiatives. The intern will assist with planning and implementing plantings, maintenance, and conservation efforts, while fostering a positive, safe, and inclusive volunteer experience.
REQUIREMENTS
- Currently pursuing a degree in horticulture, environmental studies, or a related field.
- Passion for horticulture, plant care, and environmental sustainability.
- Ability to effectively communicate with and lead diverse groups of volunteers, staff, and community members in a positive and engaging manner.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable participating in hands-on gardening and outdoor activities in various weather conditions, including planting, weeding, and general park maintenance.
