Requirements:
- Pre-employment background check mandatory. You must have the ability to pass a back ground check with inquiries (NACI)

- Contract employees will be required to travel to locations throughout New York State at least four times per year.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provides administrative assistance support to the Medical Records and Case Management teams in support of the State Surgeons Office for the Army National Guard (ARNG).
- Knowledge and proficiency in various ARNG web-based electronic data systems, to include MEDPROS, MWDE, MEDCHART, MODS, MHA/PHA etc.
- Familiar with regulations and policies that apply to Individual Medical Readiness (IMR) and deployment. AR 40-66, AR 40-501 etc.
- Assists in maintaining soldiers’ medical and dental records IAW AR 40-66.
- Assist soldiers with obtaining a copy of their medical record
- Organize medical records according AR 40-66
- Scan/index all medical documents into the online database
- File all medical documents into soldiers medical records
- Assist soldiers by phone or walk-ins
- Files and scans documents in medical records and electronic medical record database
- Reviews correspondence for format accuracy and content using IAW Army regulations.
- Researches and extracts data from electronic records.
- Works closely with other offices on related medical issues.
- Answers ad hoc queries using data from various databases.
- Provides administrative support to medical portions of the state Soldier Readiness Processing (SRP) and Medical Readiness Weekend (MRW) Program. Some weekend travel required.
- Knowledge of Microsoft programs such as Excel and Word a must.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Must have computer experience and preferred Excel and Adobe PDF experience.
- The above tasks require sitting, standing and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Must have the ability to engage in repetitive motions such as filing and copying and scanning medical records.
- Team oriented skills.
- Must have excellent time management skills, be organized, the ability to follow through timely on tasks and a self-motivator.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in military, especially Army National Guard, or veterans populations
- Working knowledge of military dynamics and organizational management.

Pay: From $17.94 per hour
