Position Title: Forklift Operator
Location: Albany, GA
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary Range: $16.80/hr and an additional $5.36 stipend for Health&Welfare.
Schedule: Monday to Friday (8-hour shift)
Overview:
Sebastian Tech Solutions is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our logistics and operations team. The Forklift Operator will be responsible for safely operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, load, and unload goods and materials in a warehouse, manufacturing, or industrial setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate manually controlled forklifts (gasoline, electric, or liquid propane) and other material handling equipment up to 10K capacity.
- Load and unload materials from delivery trucks using government-furnished forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Transport, stack, store, and organize materials and products in bulk and non-bulk forms.
- Prepare materials and products for storage or distribution.
- Operate additional material handling equipment such as scoops, hand trucks, and pallet jacks.
- Perform safety checks and routine maintenance on forklifts and equipment.
- Follow safety procedures and OSHA regulations at all times.
- Work independently or as part of a team to meet operational goals.
Qualifications:
- Required: OSHA Forklift Safety Training and Certification.
- Required: Valid Driver’s License.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience operating forklifts or material handling equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor in various conditions.
- Strong attention to safety, detail, and efficiency.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with team members.
- Military experience is a plus but not required.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working in a warehouse, distribution center, or industrial environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse inventory systems or logistics processes.
- Familiarity with government property handling is a plus.
Physical Demands:
- Frequent lifting and moving of items up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and operate machinery for extended periods.
