PC/ Network Technician

JOB TITLE:  PC/Network Technician

REPORTS TO:  Gary Hoffstein, CIO

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

·      Assist in administration of company’s network including security and maintenance of computers, servers, printers, switches, firewalls, and other network attached equipment.

·      Phone system experience, assisting with cloud-based phone system.

·      Complete timely resolution for support tickets.

·      Onboard and remove employees.

·      Troubleshoot workstation and server related problems and optimization along with end user support.

·      Assist with wireless, firewall, switch, and router configuration and management. 

·      Assist with security audits on network attached devices.

·      Work with our third-party providers on both hardware and software solutions.

·      Install new and upgrade existing software including server operating systems.

·      Assist in the management of mobile devices with Mobile Device Management Software.

·      Assist with security including card access system, patch management, virus prevention and remediation.

·      Work with vendors to maintain phones, copiers, computers, servers, switches, and other technology.

·      Accomplish individual and team technology projects.

·      Recommend configuration changes and enhancements to technology.

·      Assist end users in the evaluation of new technology and software.

·      Assist in the backup of servers and restores of files for end users.

·      Assist in the enhancement and management of our disaster recovery and business continuity.

TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE:

Windows Server and Workstation OS, Apple iOS & OS, VMware, HP Nimble SAN, Distribution One ERP One , VPN, Exchange Server/Office 365, McAfee Anti-virus software, mobile applications, and Microsoft Azure & 2FA. Cisco switches, routers and wireless controller along with Fortinet firewalls and software.

·      Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

·      3-5 years’ experience.

·      Strong organizational skills with ability to multitask and prioritize deadlines in a fast paced and ever-changing environment.

·      Strong written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills. 

·      Ability to interact with all levels of management.
