JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Client-Care Program Coordinator
Average of 30 hours a week
Full-Time
PAY RANGE:
Starting; $18.00 an hour (increase potential after 90 days)
The Program Coordinator oversees and executes the programs of Second Shift.
They work with clients, direct care staff, mentors, volunteers, community partners and stakeholders in developing and maintaining high quality services for clients. They are responsible for overseeing the successful planning, execution, and completion of programs.
Reports to: Executive Director
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervises and performs client intakes and assessments.
- Oversees case management services related to client care.
- Recruits, trains, connects and supports mentors to help ensure success with young adult clients.
- Works with all staff to conduct outreach for programs.
- Ensures that Client Care Advocates are providing services within the best practices outlined by the agency.
- Contributes to fundraising to support and grow the programs.
- Monitors program outputs and outcomes to ensure success.
- Provides case management for clients or oversees direct care staff.
- Attends agency and other program meetings as appropriate.
- Collects and compiles data related to programs.
- Meets with supervisor weekly for a program update.
- Facilitates program development and Performance Quality Improvement for programs and updates policies and procedures as needed.
- Communicates effectively to get along with coworkers and management and deal effectively and professionally under pressure.
- Other duties may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Social Word degree from an accredited college or university; or equivalent combination of similar education and experience.
· Experience working with Child Welfare, Foster Care, Youth Development, Residential Care, or transitional housing programs highly desired.
· Must be dependable, committed, punctual, efficient, organized, and professional under pressure.
· Ability to balance excellent client care with meeting deadlines and ensuring positive program goals and outcomes.
· Experience providing services to clients of various racial, ethnic, socioeconomic backgrounds or sexual identity who are overrepresented in homeless populations as well as working in different cultural environments.
· An understanding of humility and respect for working with homeless youth and families.
· Excellent written, verbal, and oral communication skills, both internally and externally.
· Must be personable and informative when presenting Second Shift programs and services.
· Computer knowledge and competency in Microsoft Office Suite
· Valid Alabama driver's license with access to a personal vehicle.
