Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations.
- Plan and design creative menus that cater to diverse tastes while adhering to seasonal availability.
- Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring quality control and adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods, including banquets and special events.
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and manage food costs effectively.
- Train new kitchen staff on culinary techniques, food handling practices, and restaurant standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, ensuring compliance with sanitation guidelines.
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new techniques or ingredients into menu offerings.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar leadership role within a restaurant setting.
- Strong culinary skills with expertise in food preparation techniques and menu planning.
