Salary: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Summary
The Procurement Specialist is responsible for assisting the Sales, Product, and Operation teams by performing a variety of activities relating to the procurement of goods, materials, supplies and equipment; perform related processing and record keeping functions; operate within a framework of standard policies and procedures; exercise responsibility for accurate and timely performance of procurement support activies; and perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned. This position takes a self-starter who primarily works independently and builds positive relationships with clients, vendors and co-workers.
Responsibilities
- MRP System Expertise: Manage and optimize the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system to ensure accurate forecasting, planning, and resource allocation.
- Procurement: Source and procure materials and supplies, ensuring cost-efficiency, quality, and timely delivery.
- Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with vendors, negotiating favorable terms and maintaining strong partnerships.
- Inventory Management: Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet production demands while minimizing waste and carrying costs.
- Inventory Control: Implement and monitor inventory control systems to ensure accuracy and reduce discrepancies.
- Warehouse Organization: Oversee warehouse operations, ensuring efficient layout, organization, and accessibility of materials.
- Safety: Promote and uphold safety standards in all aspects of warehouse and procurement operations.
- Other: Miscellaneous duties may be assigned according to business needs.
Qualifications
- Experience in MRP systems, procurement, and inventory management.
- Strong understanding of inventory control and warehouse operations.
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Proven ability to negotiate with vendors and build strong relationships resulting in immediate responses as needed.

Education: 2 to 4 year Degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience: 3-5 years of purchasing and business support experience preferred
Work Schedule: TBD based on business needs, 40 hour work week
Physical Environment/Demands:
- Traditional office and manufacturing environment.
- Must be able to sit for extended periods, lift up to 10 lbs. and navigate/use computer system.

Salary: $28.00 to $35.00 /hour
