Position Overview
The ACH (Automated Clearing House) Processing Analyst position is an entry-level position that processes various requests involving ACH transactions. They will learn how to navigate within our ACH processing software, PEP to assist branch, Member Services Support, and operations employees, along with members, and outside originators with ACH processing and research. They will collaborate with other departments and branches/Member Services Support in processing ACH returns and balancing the ACH system and associated General Ledger accounts.
Responsibilities
30% Work rejected ACH credits in incoming files from the Federal Reserve Bank and internal departments.
30% Work rejected ACH credits in incoming files from the Federal Reserve Bank and internal departments.
20% Process and respond to Member Access messages directly from members regarding ACH disputes.
20% Work 10-7 shift – consolidation of daily tickets and processing of Another Chance returns.
Supervision
Direct Reports: None
Internal Relationships: Branch/MSS staff – general ACH research
Computer Operations staff – transmission to/receipt of files from FRB
External and Vendor Relationships: External originators/ODFIs – indemnity letters, trace requests, general ACH research
Qualifications
Required Education
HS Diploma or GED
Desired Education
Associates Acceptable Fields of Study: Business, finance, or related field
Required Relevant Experience: 0 years
Desired Relevant Experience: 1 year
Required Knowledge, Abilities, And Skills
Must have basic computer skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy is imperative.
Excellent analytical and research skills.
Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
Must be able to cooperate and collaborate with coworkers and various levels of leadership and be cordial and professional in all interatctions with members and coworkers in both on-site and remote work settings.
Must be willing to engage in ongoing training and professional development.
Must adhere to the work schedule and attendance policy established by manager.
Desired Knowledge, Abilities, And Skills
Should have experience working with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
