What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Technician position at SECURA Insurance?
Maintains SECURA buildings and grounds by performing the following duties.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform routine facility maintenance and repairs
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems
- Work with vendors as needed
- Operate lawn and snow equipment
- Set-up conference rooms and special events
- Ensure safety and compliance with regulations
- Participate in the 24x7 on-call support rotation
- Lead projects when necessary
- Participate on SECURA’s safety team as well as assist with building security
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
ESSENTIAL:
- Good mechanical skills
- Hands on learner
- Takes pride in work done
- Attention to detail
- Ability to learn our building automation system
- High school diploma
- Always meet and greet associates in a friendly and professional manner
- An A attitude and a genuine person
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Perform multiple tasks with limited supervision
- Top-notch verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to handle issues with confidentiality and professionalism
- Must have proven keyboard/computer skills
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required stand, walk, kneel, bend, and be in good physical shape
- The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance
PREFERRED:
- Associate or bachelor's degree in related field
- Proficient in Excel
- Jack of all trades
REQUIRED:
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver's license
