Secure Energy is looking for enthusiastic and hard-working individuals who are eager to join our growing sales team.
Applying a comprehensive understanding of our suite of services, value proposition and energy industry knowledge, a Vice President of Sales is responsible for new business development nationally. As a VP of Sales you will explore and analyze a business’ energy management needs to deliver custom, strategic solutions for their organization. Through Secure Energy’s extensive supplier relationships, deep bench of energy experts, dynamic team structure, and proprietary BUDA (Building Utility Data Analytics) energy information system – you will be equipped to provide clients with solutions that inform decision-making and best position them to navigate energy markets.
Sales Responsibilities and Duties:
- Promote and sell products and services through suggestive sales techniques to meet and surpass profitability goals.
- Prospect for and contact potential clients: cold calls, phone calls, door-to-door, mailers, email, networking events, tradeshows, etc.
- Provide clients with product price quotations, details regarding contract specifics, and varying product options.
- Generate sales revenue to meet or exceed team and individual sales quota.
- Utilize computer skills in conjunction with our CRM (Salesforce) to develop a strong sales pipeline, view prospect information, and perform data entry.
- Travel to customer locations (regionally) to meet with clients and present company products, services, and pricing information in a professional manner (reliable transportation required).
Sales Qualifications:
- Must have 5-10 years of prior outside sales experience.
- Must be competitive, persistent, and likeable.
- Must be willing to learn and ask questions.
- Must be money-motivated and goal-oriented.
- Must be resilient and able to handle rejection.
Sales Compensation:
We offer a starting annual base salary of $60,000 - $100,000 depending on experience level. Base pay increases over time following our “Step-Up Plan” upon reaching career sales milestones.
In addition to base salary, we offer uncapped commission plans with a residual income stream.
With base pay commission a successful VP of Sales should expect to earn between $100,000 - $200,000 by the end of their first year.

Base Pay: $60,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
