Lake City Servicing is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Loan Servicing Associate to join our team. This position will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless onboarding of new loans, maintaining strong lender relations, supporting insurance and tax tracking, and supporting team members responsible for obtaining trailing docs and preparing and recording reconveyances/releases of mortgages. Key Responsibilities:
1. Loan Onboarding:
- Facilitate the onboarding process for new loans by ensuring all required documentation is complete and accurate.
- Set up new accounts in the loan servicing system and verify compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Complete welcome calls and warm introductions to new lender and lender clients.
- Coordinate with lenders and borrowers to address any discrepancies or missing information.
2. Lender Relations and Communication:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for lenders, providing timely responses to inquiries and requests.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with lending partners to ensure smooth collaboration.
- Communicate policy updates, account changes, and other pertinent information to lenders and stakeholders.
3. Insurance Tracking:
- Monitor and track borrower insurance policies to ensure continuous coverage.
- Follow up with borrowers or insurance providers to obtain updated certificates of insurance when needed.
- Address and resolve insurance-related discrepancies or lapses promptly.
4. Tax Tracking:
- Maintain accurate records of property taxes associated with serviced loans.
- Ensure timely payment of property taxes to avoid penalties or delinquencies.
- Communicate with borrowers and tax authorities to resolve any tax-related issues.
5. Trailing Documentation and Reconveyances:
- Support team members responsible for obtaining trailing documents required for loan files.
- Assist in the preparation and recording of reconveyances/releases of mortgages.
- Ensure all documentation is accurate and complies with applicable regulations and company policies.
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- 2 years of experience in loan servicing/collections, or a related field, is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel), Adobe, and CRM/Loan Servicing systems.
- Familiarity with loan documentation and subrogation processes a plus.
