JOB DESCRIPTION: ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER
Job Title:
Assistant Project Manager
Compensation: $60,000 with applicable fringe benefits
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidate must meet the following minimum requirements:
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a supervisory or management capacity in the delivery of contract security services in a diverse environment
- The candidate must possess a High School Diploma, and demonstrate basic skills aptitude
- Possess demonstrated experience in supporting a major security program within a high-profile government agency
- Possess significant experience in dealing with security services as determined by a scope of work, including the knowledge and skill necessary to respond to emergency conditions
- The successful candidate must be proficient in MS Office Suite to include Word, Excel and Outlook.
- The successful candidate shall be proficient in writing and speaking in the English language.
Position Summary:
Under the general direction of the Project Manager, this is a field-level management function charged with assisting on all required oversight functions, while providing guidance to subordinate site and field leadership.
PROCEDURE:
This is a salaried - exempt, non-uniformed, management position to be staffed in the following manner:
Monday through Friday, primarily between the time frame of 0800hrs – 1700hrs, and all other periods based on operational necessities including evenings, weekends and/or holidays.
The Assistant Project Manager position is staffed up to five (5) days a week, for an average of eight (8) hours a day but must have the flexibility to be available for all shifts, any day of the week, to include short notices, i.e., may be required to come in early, holdover or work as fill-in on days off. The individual assigned to this post is authorized to wear civilian clothing.
RESPONSIBILITIES
It is the responsibility of the Assistant Project Manager to assist with ensuring that all contractual requirements, and Securemedy, Incorporated policies and procedures are adhered to on all sites and shifts as follows:
- Comprehensive familiarity with the overall security program, including ongoing contract deliverables requirements
- Operational familiarity with the terms and conditions for the site-specific Post Orders and companywide Standard Operating Procedures to maintain acceptable standards.
- Operational familiarity with the terms and conditions, along with the applicability of a labor relations Collective Bargaining Agreement within the security industry
- Oversight of Site Supervisors, Field Supervisors, Shift Supervisors and Lead Officers to ensure full scope contractual compliance
- Comprehensive understanding of company and government-mandated policies and procedures, to explain and enforce to staff members.
- Accountability of total hours worked on prescribed posts/shifts daily to result in review of payroll accuracy at end of pay period.
- Tasking of supervisory staff to conduct quality control inspections including credential maintenance, job knowledge, image and appearance standards and overall contract compliance
- Routine review of Daily Activity Reports / Log sheets, Incident Reports, Time and Attendance Records and all other applicable security program related paperwork.
- Coordination and oversight of On-The-Job training and refresher training requirements for new, current and transfer employees.
- Periodic program status briefing to client representatives and Project Manager about significant occurrences on the respective program. Note: Urgent matters and emergencies are to be reported in real time.
- All other responsibilities as assigned by the client representatives, Project Manager, Director of Operations and/or corporate management.
NOTE: The Assistant Project Manager will serve at the discretion of the client and Securemedy, Incorporated. In the event that the Assistant Project Manager is unable to satisfactorily perform his/her duties to acceptable standards, and the appropriate measures have been taken to obtain corrective actions, such person will be removed with the appropriate notice.
