Job Description:
This is a dynamic and growing team that collaborates with credit unions, banks, and finance companies to provide regulatory services and compliant documents for lending and depository needs.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with product line attorneys to provide compliant services and solutions for our clients' lending, deposit program, and documentation needs.
- Provide subject matter support in federal and state consumer financial protection laws and regulations.
- Distill complex legal information into easy-to-understand guidance for our business unit and external clients.
- Support strategic business growth solutions to ensure compliance with all applicable rules and regulations.
- Draft and revise contracts, addendums, and other forms to align with the goals and needs of the business unit and external clients.
Qualifications:
- Ability to research a wide variety of insurance law topics and jurisdictional differences.
- Desire and ability to become a subject matter expert on relevant topics.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Self-directed and disciplined in working independently with minimal supervision.
- Versatility, maturity, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organization and planning skills necessary to adjust to changing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy.
- Exceptional capacity for critical thinking and creative problem solving.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a previous law firm or corporate law department.
- Paralegal Certification.
- Experience in Estate & Trust law, and/or Life Insurance.
