What are the responsibilities and job description for the Global Risk Specialist (GRS) position at Securitas Security Services?
This is an on-site role and is based in the company’s Resilience Center in New York City.
- On-site requirement are three twelve hour shifts during the business week (Mon - Fri) and 1 remote 4 hr. shift
- Occasional overtime for team vacation coverage.
- Occasional remote weekend coverage.
Main Responsibilities
- Primarily responsible for monitoring, assessing, and reporting on threats to the company’s worldwide operations by leveraging proprietary and open sources
- Prepare accurate, succinct, and timely communications on issues that could impact site operations globally, business travelers, supply chains and other business units
- Perform Crisis Management Duties by monitoring critical assets, initiating response actions and notification in the event of emergency situations
- Maintain ongoing awareness of Executive Leadership travel
- Prepare weekly threat assessments and other intelligence reports
- Maintain proficiency of the company’s mass notification platform, travel tracker, mapping system and other Resilience Center tools
- Leverage social media research and analysis to support internal threat investigations
- Triage and escalate telephone inquiries to appropriate parties within the company
- Provide trip briefings to international travelers and escalate travel related incidents to regional security and other partners for follow up.
- Use of video management and access control systems to conduct incident reviews and other assigned tasks
- Daily shift briefings and hand over to the company’s Resilience Center hub in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Skills/Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree Preferred or 5 years’ experience performing similar duties in military, law enforcement or corporate security.
- Strong organizational, written, and verbal communications skills
- Skilled in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams)
- Exposure to data visualization and mapping platforms
- Proficient with social media and opensource searches
- Ability to monitor inquiries, quickly receive and assess the information, recall operational procedures, and initiate actions. Must be able to “think on their feet".
- Should exemplify the values of Integrity, Teamwork, Respect for People, and Customer Focus.
- Prior intelligence analyst experience preferred
