LOCATION: Cambridge, MA (Free On-Site Parking)
SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday (7am-3pm) with on-call / night / weekend flexibility as needed.
SALARY: $70,000-$75,000/year
Job Description:
The Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) Lead Analyst supports the Global Security Management and other business function leaders. Executes the various core functions of the GSOC to include, but not limited to; Incident Recognition/Escalation, Intelligence Analysis, Emergency Response, Travel Security and Physical Security. Lead Analyst acts as a partner who works closely with teams across the security organization and the wider business to understand information requirements, deliver timely analysis, and present key insights to internal stakeholders. Lead Analysts will also assist in the development and evolution of GSOC core processes, leveraged technologies, and contract analyst roles within the GSOC.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Incident Management:
- Monitor security systems and identify potential security incidents.
- Triage and escalate incidents based on severity and impact.
- Coordinate response efforts with relevant teams across the organization, including IT, Facilities, EHS and HR.
- Conduct post-incident analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Provide clear and concise documentation of all incidents through available logs, shift pass-on, and incident report writing; notifies proper authorities, client, and Security Management in emergency situations.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and develop a team of security analysts and operators within the GSOC.
- Assign tasks, provide training and coaching to ensure team proficiency.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and communication within the team.
- Communicate with Senior Security Management on matters related to employee welfare, global incidents, operational issues, and critical situations.
- Threat Analysis and Intelligence Gathering:
- Analyze security intelligence feeds to identify emerging threats and risks.
- Develop threat profiles and assess potential impacts to the organization.
- Share security intelligence with relevant stakeholders to inform decision-making.
- Policy and Procedure Development:
- Establish and maintain GSOC procedures and protocols.
- Develop incident response plans and ensure team members are trained on them.
- Review and update policies to align with evolving security landscape.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Communicate critical security updates and incident reports to relevant stakeholders.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external security partners.
- Technology Management:
- Monitor the effectiveness of security systems and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Track, document and report progress on projects and initiatives in areas of responsibility
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience:
Two years of experience in a Security Command Center and/or Pharmaceutical Industry or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company. Proficiency in Risk analysis, including the ability to identify, mitigate, and respond to potential security threats
Demonstrate compliance with federal, state, and local laws governing residency or registry for employment eligibility. Be at least eighteen (18) years of age. Possess a high school diploma, GED or equivalent (college degree or coursework preferred). Demonstrate the ability to read and write English equivalent to a high school graduate. Have the ability to verbally communicate in English, particularly in emergency situations requiring clear and definitive articulation to assure confidence, control and safety of those involved.
Competencies (as demonstrated through experience, training, and/or testing):
- Strong customer service, communication, and attention to detail.
- Knowledge an understanding of Access Management Systems including Software House, CCure 9000, Exacqvision, Everbridge Mass Communication, Everbridge Visual Command Center, etc.
- Basic knowledge of physical security.
- Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new procedures and tasks proficiently.
- Understanding and knowledge on various Open-Source Intelligence applications.
- Understanding of security operations.
- Use of personal computer and business software applications (MS Office).
- Good organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Ability to interact effectively at various social levels and across diverse cultures.
- Ability to maintain professional composure under stressful circumstances.
- Ability to take initiative and work with minimal supervision
- Ability to carry out multiple assignments concurrently.
Working Conditions and Physical/Mental Demands:
- Posted at a computer\system monitoring workstation in the GSOC.
- Sitting for extended periods of time.
- Regularly interacts with authorities, executives, clients, staff, and the public, occasionally under conditions of urgency and in pressure situations.
- Handling and being exposed to sensitive and confidential information.
- Close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.
- Salaried sole requires after hours communication regularly
- On-site primarily M-F business hours but flexibility is needed
