The Associate Product Manager is responsible for overseeing the performance of the Product Analysts and Product Specialists for the following duties: conducting research; making recommendations for product development and coordinating implementation activities for new lines of homeowners insurance; reviewing, making recommendations and implementing new product features for existing lines; as well as daily activities including, but are not limited to, company loss analysis and rate development, competitor review, filing research, and trend/market data analysis. Additionally, the Product Manager oversees the monitoring of hurricane development, following of hurricane tracks, running of hurricane modeling based on projected landfall points, and providing of reports to company management after each indicated advisory. Responsible for managing the Product Team including behavior, scheduling, performance reviews, skill development, salary recommendations, and other basic management duties.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Six (6) years working in the insurance industry with experience creating new products, writing insurance manuals, manually rating policies, modeling hurricanes or similar duties, including two (2) years of supervisory experience
- OR an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience
- May be required to possess a valid state of Florida driver’s license
- Insurance industry designations or trade certifications as required
- Master’s degree in related field
- Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) certification
- Knowledge of house first and third-party products and programs
