Weekly pay.
General Requirements:
The Security Officers responsibility is to assist hotel staff with the safety and security of all guests, members, associates, and visitors. He/she will provide the highest degree of professional and courteous service.
Position Requirements
- Professional demeanor appropriate for a high end luxury hotel.
- Proven ability to handle a multitude of tasks in an ever-changing environment.
- Analyze information from several sources and to make rapid accurate decisions based on the information gathered.
- At least 1 year of experience in a luxury resort or equivalent.
- Class “D” Security License
Responsibilities
- Conduct interior and exterior patrols (including beach area) as scheduled.
- Prepare electronic Incident reports, as needed.
- Interact with management in a professional manner, making constructive suggestions.
- Interact with local authorities and inform them effectively of all needs, and answer pertinent questions confidently and accurately.
- Comply at all times with standards and regulations to encourage a safe and efficient hotel operation.
- Adhere to office policies set forth by security management.
- Maintain continual surveillance of hotel areas by conducting rounds throughout the resort, paying particular attention to unsecured areas. All discrepancies must be documented.
- Complete security activity logs, documenting all activity during shift.
- Respond to all incidents in a timely manner.
- Attempt to defuse any incidents of threats within the resort.
- Maintain awareness of all suspicious persons and escort them off the property if warranted. Check and record identification of suspicious persons.
- Knowledgeable of the resorts, CCTV system and computerized locking system.
- Receive and process all lost and found items as per procedures established.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
Education
- High school diploma; experience in a large hotel environment, preferred.
Skills and Abilities
- Able to communicate in the English language. Second language is a plus.
- Able to work flexible schedules including holidays and weekends and able to perform multiple tasks.
- Experience using computers and software programs such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
- Also requires standing/walking/reaching and bending throughout shift.
