Job title - Hardware Engineering Failure Analysis
Location - San Jose, CA (onsite)
The position requires the candidate to have had good knowledge of HW design experience so that they can troubleshoot issues effectively to identify the root cause. It is different from a purely validation role which involves running the design through a set of pre-determined tests for compliance.
Candidate will be working in Client's Lab, participation and contribution in all phases of hardware diagnostics development, from design inception through coding and delivery to manufacturing.
Key Skills:
- Board design skill sets required
- failure analysis
- Understing of schematic capture, fabrication & assembly)
- Analogue and power electronic,
- DIGITAL logic high speed, microprocessor (whole process of manufacturing, electronic manage, how to read the design)
- PCIe, power management, converts management, electronic management
- brought up board in the lab
- signal capture tools
- trouble shoot if a board is not working
- use diagnostic software to bring up a board
- anything else is a plus.
- This position needs deeper Electrical Engineering skills and troubleshooting experience at that level.
- Does not need to have networking background.
