Schedule Available: Full-Time, overnight 11:00am - 7:00am.
BROAD SCOPE OF POSITION: Responsible for receiving and properly fielding all communication at Sedona Winds Community including phone calls, mail, work orders, appointments, resident requests, messages, emergencies, etc. Responsible for interacting with residents, staff members, family members, visitors, vendors, and general public on a daily basis.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
· Greets all incoming visitors
· Answers phone, disburses mail
· Maintains maintenance work order book
· Takes and relays all messages to staff, residents, or family members
· Maintains residents and guest sign in/out sheet
· Communicates with residents and staff on all issues through phones, intercom, memos, etc.
· Maintains daily communication log book for continuity of shifts
· Assists Director in touring potential residents and visitors
· Maintains the emergency book for all residents going out 911
· Mail ancillaries to corporate office
· Assists Manager as needed
· Assists van driver with scheduling appointments and maintaining appointment book
NON ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
· Guest meal reservations
· Make new resident files for when marketing does their paperwork/ ER contact in ER book
· Make new employee files, fax paperwork to corporate office
· Update phone list
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
· High school diploma required
· One year college preferred
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
· One or more year working with the general public in a front-desk receptionist environment
· Experience with long term or geriatric care preferred
· One or more year working in a secretarial position helpful
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE SKILLS OR REQUIREMENTS:
· Sensitivity to needs and limitations of seniors
· Strong interpersonal skills
· Desire to work with frail and elderly
· Must be able to read and write the English language
· Computer literate
· Must be able to work on a full or part time regular schedule
· Patience
· Must be able to remain calm during stressful situations
