We are looking for a friendly and organized Front Desk Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our medical practice.
Job Summary
The Front Desk Receptionist plays a critical role in delivering exceptional patient experiences by managing front desk operations, scheduling appointments, handling patient communications, and ensuring a smooth patient flow. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong communication skills and a warm, professional demeanor.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and check in patients with a friendly and professional attitude
- Answer incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and route calls as needed
- Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using practice management software
- Collect and verify insurance information and patient documentation
- Handle patient check-out, including collecting payments and scheduling follow-ups
- Maintain an organized and tidy reception area
- Communicate with referring physicians and coordinate necessary documentation
- Assist in maintaining patient records and ensuring HIPAA compliance
- Provide support to clinical and administrative staff as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required;
- Previous experience in a dental, medical, or sleep medicine office preferred
- software (Will be trained on dental sleep software)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong computer skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Friendly, compassionate, and patient-focused demeanor
- Professional appearance and punctuality
- Knowledge of medical insurance terminology and billing is a plus.
