We are seeking a highly experienced Director of Site Operations to lead and optimize operations at our innovative facilities across the nation. This role is responsible for overseeing production, safety, process improvements, and team leadership across multiple locations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemical manufacturing, plant operations, and leadership.
Because we design, build, commission, and operate our technologies, this role is responsible for following essential functions:
- Oversee and support Site Operations Managers at multiple locations, removing roadblocks and implementing standards and processes that result in improved performance
- Responsible for overseeing operations at multiple manufacturing sites. This role ensures safety, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence across all locations. The leader drives continuous improvement initiatives, manages cross-functional teams, and ensures that production goals are met efficiently and effectively
- Supervise, mentor, and develop site managers, engineers, and technicians to foster a high-performance culture
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to achieve optimal performance
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives such as Six Sigma, Lean, Kaizen, and 5S
- Ensure compliance with local, federal, and company safety, quality, operational and regulatory standards
- Implement corrective actions based on audit findings to continuously improve operations
- Communicate effectively and frequently with home base and onsite staff in regard to emergent issues and ideas for improvement
- Develop and maintain comprehensive validation documentation to ensure all systems and processes meet industry standards and requirements
- Develop, execute, monitor, and manage departmental operational and capital budgets to ensure alignment with the company’s overall financial strategy and budgetary guidelines
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to include investors, customers, customer success leads, and engineering teams
- Guide the management of hauler relations and product offtake to optimize operational goals and enhance partnerships
- Prioritize duties and responsibilities in order to fulfill objectives
- Demonstrate the ability to work individually and within a multidisciplinary team, communicating and collaborating with technicians and engineers alike
- Comply with all safety, 5S, and HazMat practices
- Work well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- 10 years of experience in chemical manufacturing, plant operations, or industrial production management
- Experience in PSM (Process Safety Management) regulated facilities is ideal
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with industrial machinery
- Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Proven leadership in large-scale facility operations with direct oversight of teams and budgets
- Strong knowledge of chemical process engineering, safety regulations, and environmental compliance
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-risk environment
- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time
- Comfortable working in various environments, including heights, confined spaces, and varying temperatures
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time
- Wage range for this role is between $162,000 – $220,000 annually
- Discretionary bonus
- Employees in this position will be required to work off-shift hours and/or stand-by service to address operational needs and emergencies as required.
- The range provided is Sedron’s estimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities.
