Assistant Event Planner

See Em Play, Inc. in Dallas, TX is looking for one ASSISTANT EVENT PLANNER to join our team. We are located in East Dallas in a major shopping center (Casa Linda). Our ideal candidate is comfortable working around children and their parents, has a great cheerful positive attitude, and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service. This role will report directly-to and assist the store manager.

What We Do

We provide indoor soft play and imaginative play for kids ages 10 months through 8 years old. In addition, we host birthday parties small and large. Parents love our facility because we invest heavily in staff to keep the place as clean and spotless as possible.

Responsibilities

This position will primarily work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday as needed to best support our event schedule.

·    Maintaining facility cleanliness standards. This is the most important responsibility for all staff members

·    Follow up with customers via phone and email to confirm party bookings and customizations

·    Keep detailed and organized party notes. You must be very organized and detail oriented.

·    Support party preparation by decorating and arranging resources for party (food, staffing, activities)

·    Check-in kids and parents for parties and open play

·    Running children’s parties with enthusiasm and positive attitude

·    Facilitate activities such as arts/crafts, games, story time

·    Dress up in costumes or theme-specific clothing as needed

Qualifications

·    Comfortable working around children

·    Excellent verbal communication skills

·    Recommended to have interest in party/event planning or general project management

·    Texas Food Handler Certificate by first week of employment

·    Ability to work without supervision and stay on task

·    Must be able to comfortably navigate through children's soft-play structure, which includes climbing, crawling, and low ceilings

·    Must be able to properly lift and carry 30lbs

·    Must have own transportation to work

·    Bilingual Spanish preferred, but not necessary

·    Ensures attendance in accordance with the work schedule

·    Acts in line with Health, Safety & Fire procedures and best practices

·    Adheres to the applicable company policies and procedures

·    Adheres & follows Standard Operation Procedure as set by See Em Play, Inc.
