Summary

 The IT Systems Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the company's IT infrastructure, ensuring its optimal performance, security, and scalability. This role involves strategic planning, implementation, and maintenance of IT systems ensuring our continued growth in the hospitality and tourism markets. 


Responsibilities

  • Role Model: Delivers excellent guest service to internal and external customers in line with the organization’s mission, culture, and values.
  • System Management: Oversees the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT systems, including servers, networks, and software applications. Ensure all partners are adhering to the organizational processes and procedures.
  • Project Management: Plan and execute IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet business requirements.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor system performance and troubleshooting issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Resource Allocation: Prioritizing help desk tickets based on urgency and importance, ensuring that critical issues are addressed promptly.  
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of IT systems, processes, and procedures. 
  • Compliance: Ensure IT systems comply with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Vendor Management: Manages relationships with external vendors and service providers to ensure quality and cost-effective solutions customized to Rock City Inc.
  • Communicator: Collaborates closely with all teams across See Rock City, Inc.’s entities, locations, and levels of leadership to successfully deliver effective technology solutions. Establishes priorities of projects and allocates resources effectively.
  • Collaborates: Engages with other teams across the organization to ensure their needs are being considered when implementing new IT solutions and that they are receiving a high level of service regarding IT needs. 
  • Visionary: Identifies opportunities for automation, digitization, and streamlining of processes to drive cost savings and increase productivity. 
  • Disaster Recovery Plan: Developing and maintaining a detailed disaster recovery plan that outlines procedures for responding to various disaster scenarios
  • Administrator: Oversees data management and security practices, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Compliance in PCI-DSS certifications and adherence to Cyber-Security policies. Must be able to identify and mitigate technological risks.
  • Performance Management: Conduct regular performance reviews, set goals, and provide feedback to IT staff members.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.


Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field. 
  • Proven experience (5 years) in a leadership role overseeing IT operations and strategy.
  • Strong understanding of data management, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Excellent project management skills, with a track record of delivering complex technological initiatives on time and within budget.
  • Knowledgeable with VMWARE, Dell Switches, Cisco routers, Microsoft Windows Server, and MS Desktop Pro O/S, SQL and data analytics preferred.
  • Familiar with Retail Environment Software, POS, Credit Card Terminals, label printers, and related hardware/software.
  • Possesses an outgoing, friendly personality and the desire to provide quality service to internal and external customers. 
  • Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from peers, guests, and the general public.
  • Able to read and analyze business correspondence as well as develop and write reports.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey a conservative and professional image to partners and guests. 
  • Able to travel occasionally.
  • Able to multi-task and manage time effectively.
  • Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money. 
  • Able to provide a flexible schedule for working nights, weekends, holidays, and special events as needed. 
  • Required to regularly use hands and fingers. Must be able to lift/move up to 25 pounds. Required to stoop, kneel, or crouch occasionally. Required to walk trail regularly.
