Overview
We are seeking a trustworthy, detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our landscaping team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. This role is crucial for the financial health of our organization and requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Duties
- Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.
- Prepare and manage budgets, providing insights on financial performance.
- Process payroll in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Conduct technical accounting tasks, including reconciliations and adjustments.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Utilize financial software QuickBooks Online for efficient record-keeping.
- Assist with governmental accounting requirements as needed, such as gross receipts tax and payroll tax liabilities.
- Analyze debits and credits to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support.
Experience
- Verifiable trustworthiness is required.
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles.
- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting principles.
- Familiarity with budgeting processes and payroll management.
- Experience with financial software, particularly QuickBooks Online.
- Understanding of governmental accounting practices is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills are essential.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Fluency with Mac computers and associated software.
