Job Profile Summary
- The Facility Maintenance Manager is responsible for ensuring the reliable operation of the organization’s buildings, facilities, machinery, and equipment. This role involves overseeing maintenance tasks, performing repairs, and ensuring the efficiency and safety of all facilities and equipment. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing refurbishment and maintenance of buildings, including warehouses and manufacturing facilities.
- Performing preventative and reparative maintenance on company buildings, facilities, machinery, and equipment.
- Supervising work related to electrical maintenance, mechanics, hydraulics, carpentry, and masonry, including installation, replacement, cleaning, and repair of components and equipment.
Job Summary
This operation’s role is responsible for managing and performing routine and complex maintenance duties to ensure optimal facility operation. The position includes troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and facility infrastructure, including material handling equipment.
Responsibilities
- Ensure food safety and quality standards are upheld for all products.
- Perform semi-skilled preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on facility equipment as per manufacturer guidelines.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical power systems (low/high voltage), motors, belts, bearings, sprockets, and other mechanical components.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests, identify root causes, and implement solutions.
- Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance on facility equipment.
- Assemble, install, replace, and modify small operating equipment.
- Disassemble, relocate, and reassemble machinery and equipment as needed.
- Supervise and provide guidance to Tech I and Tech II crew members on repair and maintenance tasks.
- Work night shifts and occasional weekends as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

- Follow written and oral instructions effectively.
- Support company safety and health goals by participating in safety programs.
- Demonstrate proper equipment operation to ensure employee safety and OSHA compliance.
- Report unsafe conditions and provide management with written safety reports as needed.
- Immediately report all accidents, injuries, or illnesses.
- Diagnoses and troubleshoot operational errors to determine and execute efficient repair solutions.
- Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics and diagrams.
- Maintain tools and work areas in a neat, organized, and operational condition.
Education:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Knowledge of single and three-phase electrical systems, including AC/DC high and low voltage.
Experience:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in facility and preventative equipment maintenance.
- Experience with food processing equipment is a plus.
- Experience with vacuum packaging equipment (RollStock and Repack machines) is a plus.
Skills:
Proficiency in various software programs related to facility maintenance.
Strong technical, mechanical, and analytical abilities.
Effective communication skills in English for interaction with staff and management.
Ability to resolve issues professionally and work efficiently under pressure.
