Job Description :
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk I to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will perform a variety of routine accounting duties and administrative tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our financial records.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist in processing accounts payable and receivable transactions.
- Maintain and update financial records, ensuring they are accurate and up to date.
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
- Process and file invoices, receipts, and other financial documents.
- Assist with payroll processing as needed.
- Prepare basic financial reports and summaries.
- Handle routine office duties, including answering phone calls, filing, and data entry.
- Support senior accounting staff with special projects and other tasks as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree in accounting or related field preferred).
- Previous experience in an accounting or administrative role is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Oracle etc.) is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
