The typical salary range for this position is $80,000 - $110,000. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work to bridge the gap between design and execution. Your technical expertise will ensure that projects are completed effectively to the highest standards contributing to the overall success of the project.
The ideal candidate will excel at the following duties and responsibilities:
- Communication: Interact daily with clients to interpret their needs and requirements and work with them to complete projects. Communicate effectively with client project manager and other project participants to provide technical support and assistance.
- Coordination: Work across engineering disciplines, clients, and contractors to integrate and address any design, engineering or implementation issues. Coordinate efforts among project team members to achieve project goals
- Project Management: Assist and lead client with establishing project objectives, scope of work documents, schedules and bid packages. Provide technical assistance to client’s purchasing agent.
- Document Control: Manage contract documents, e.g., RFIs, addenda, change orders, construction drawings.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve project, design and engineering issues; provide project leadership and support during installation, commissioning, and operation phases.
- Compliance: Monitor & document project for compliance to applicable codes, QA/QC policies, performance standard, specifications & schedule. Ensure project execution adheres to industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices.
- Physical: Capable of traveling to and working safely within industrial and manufacturing facilities. Typical tasks include climbing stairs, ladders, and navigating congested industrial environments and elevated platforms.
- B.S. in Engineering (Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical) from an ABET accredited institution.
- 5-10 years of experience in engineering & design with project management experience.
- Ability to self-perform small projects, collaborate with a team, or lead a project.
- Capable of interacting with clients and developing productive working relationships.
- Ability to budget for projects, manage costs, schedule, and manage project milestones.
- Functional knowledge of AutoCAD, REVIT and project management software.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
- Prior consulting and construction experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with capital project development and the FEL process is desired.
- Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Virginia or the ability to obtain through reciprocity is a plus.
