Segrera Associates is actively recruiting for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant with a Healthcare & Medical service company located in Sarasota, FL. The Senior Accountant position is a high visibility position within the company and will report directly to the Controller. This is a great opportunity for someone who has a versatile background and skillset and business acumen. You will be overseeing and managing the accounting team and ensuring they are providing accurate month-end close reports.
This role is a fully on-site and candidate must be willing to work fully on-site.
Responsibilities
- Ensure business transactions are reported in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Work closely with team members to assist with the month-end close.
- Assist with the annual audit process including the draft of the financial statements and related notes.
- Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, billing and payroll.
- Research and analyze expense variances for company management.
- Assist in preparing financial statements and reports, end of year accounts, budgets, and forecasts.
- Manage 3 accounting staff members.
Qualifications
- 3 years' of professional accounting experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration or equivalent experience
- Management experience preferred
