Job Description
The Engine Mechanic troubleshoots, performs maintenance, and repairs aircraft engines and related aircraft components.
- Troubleshoot, repair, inspect and perform maintenance on engines and related aircraft problems
- Perform and document work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations as required
- Remove / install / replace aircraft engines and accessories
- Perform and document work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations as required
- Assist with performing complete engine runs
- Operate ground support equipment
- Assist with off-aircraft component repair
- Perform mechanical/ electrical removals and installations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Hold a valid Airframe & Powerplant Certificate
- 5 years of experience on heavy aircraft maintenance
- Experience in A/C turbine engine maintenance
- Experience on either corporate or commercial jet aircraft (preferred)
- Tug qualified (preferred)
- Forklift qualified (preferred)
- Ground Support Equipment qualified (preferred)
- Basic PC skills
