SHIPPING COORDINATOR
POSITION OVERVIEW
A Shipping Coordinator is responsible for preparing outgoing shipments both domestic and international. As such, you must understand and comply with US Import/Export controls and reporting. You will also need to help fill in for Shipping Clerk duties as well.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Obtain and process product orders, including receiving deliveries, registering them and dispatching outgoing shipments.
- Process internal reworks and customer returns.
- Keep files of goods shipped and received by properly filing paperwork.
- Handle issues arising in shipping or inventory handling
- Ensure adherence to environmental management and systems
- Trouble shoots shipping issues and customer complaints that arise and work to solve them
- Comparing packing lists to company purchase orders and ensuring that the products in each delivery match the packing list
- Willingness to undergo coursework as needed to understand and apply EAR. (Export Administration Regulations)

DESIRED KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES
- Ability to learn new concepts, apply analytical thinking, multitask and prioritize projects
- ROSS and SAP experience is a plus.
- The candidate should have experience with spreadsheet and database software like Microsoft Excel.
- Experience in export traffic coordination. Previous experience working with Customs brokers, forwarders, and international partners.
- Familiarity with international documentation, HTS, and Schedule B helpful.
