We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Operational Support Specialist to join our team. This dual-role position combines technical product support with operational analysis, providing a unique opportunity to contribute to the efficiency and quality of our dental and medical microscope business. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical aptitude, excellent communication skills, and a passion for data-driven operational improvement. You will collaborate with the Microscope Repair Manager, creating redundancies and improving overall efficiency. A key responsibility will be developing and documenting standard operating procedures (SOPs) utilizing QT9 software and instructions for all operational areas.
Shift Time: 7:45 AM- 4:15 PM
Work Days: Monday-Friday
Location: St. Louis Missouri, On-site

Responsibilities include:
- Technical Product Support & Operations
- Assemble, repair, and maintain microscopes, ensuring high quality control standards for optical and electronic components.
- Inspect instruments for product issues, document findings, and implement corrective actions.
- Provide technical support via phone and email for customer and representative inquiries.
- Monitor and manage inventory, ensuring accurate transactions and supporting delivery needs.
- Handle shipping/receiving processes, including documentation, packaging, and labeling.
- Follow established ISO standards and government regulations.
- Support workflow management for instruments and components.
- Develop and document SOPs for all technical and operational tasks.
- Operational Analysis & Support
- Analyze operational data to identify efficiency and quality improvements.
- Track and report on key metrics (first-pass resolution rate, inventory accuracy, order processing time, repair turnaround, shipping efficiency).
- Optimize processes using data-driven insights with a focus on ensuring that all orders are shipped within ten days of receipt.
- Assist in justifying operational expenses with clear and measurable reports.
- Combined Responsibilities
- Act as a backup for technical support roles, ensuring smooth operations.
- Continuously identify and implement process improvements.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.

Requirements:
- 2 years of experience in a technical support or operations role.
- Technical aptitude with mechanical and optical devices (microscopes preferred), with ability to assembly follow work instructions.
- Ability to lift 30 pounds.
- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Knowledge of inventory management and logistics.
- Experience with data analysis tools and reporting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Experience developing and documenting SOPs and work instructions.
- Familiarity with ISO standards and government regulations (preferred).Customer service and technical support experience.
