JOB SUMMARY: Director of Operations
Primary responsibilities include; Accounts Receivable/Payable, Human Resources, Payroll, Financial Reports, Administrative Assistant to the Executive Director, General Office Management, Supervision of Support Department, Database Management. The Director of Operations must be able to manage and prioritize job duties, meeting many and varying deadlines with a high level of accuracy, maintaining a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
ASSIGNMENT: Provide smooth day to day operation of the office and finances of SEIU Local 284.
MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
Accounts Receivable/Payable
Financial – Monthly reports, Various Audits, Manage Checking Accounts
Human Resources – New/terminating employees, insurance, pensions/401K.
Office Manager – Oversee all aspects of office and building maintenance; oversee support staff.
Computers – Manage database and website, working with IT and programmers.
Meetings – attend monthly board/member meetings and prepare minutes.
OTHER AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY AND ACCOUNTABILITY
Make Travel Arrangements for Staff
Maintain orderly files; purge as per retention schedule.
Run reports as requested.
Ability to plan work independently.

MIMUMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High School diploma or equivalent required. Successful completion of the following college courses preferred: Human Resources, and Accounting. Computer courses including Word, Excel and SharePoint are required.
Experience: Three or more years of human resources, accounting, payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable and office management experience required.
Special Knowledge or Skills:
A. Proficiency with computers and applications; Microsoft Office with an emphasis on SharePoint and Quick Books.
B. Database Management
C. Good human relations skills.
