What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. DOT Compliance Analyst position at SEKO Logistics?
Job Description :
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE :
- Implementing and managing policies and procedures for DOT Compliance. This includes reviewing the current documentation for DOT compliance, determining what additional policies are required.
- Making updates to existing policies, writing additional policies, and publishing those policies. Key policies include Driver Qualification, ELD Policy, Hazardous Materials, Hours of Service, and Vehicle Inspection.
- Ensuring corrective actions from audits are completed, including reviewing audit reports, meeting regularly with the auditor and the station managing directors, reviewing evidence of implementation, and documenting changes.
- Reviewing and assigning DOT training. This includes reviewing the training content, evaluating for compliance with regulatory requirements for training, ensuring the training is relevant for SEKO's operations.
- Determining the appropriate personnel to receive training, and ensuring the training is completed.
- Monitoring regulatory changes and the potential impact to SEKO, including attending external training, monitoring news and government websites for updates to DOT regulations.
- Evaluating how any changes would apply to SEKO's operations.
- Will work with the DOT Compliance consultant, which performs on-site internal audits; weekly or more frequent; DOT / FMCSA, annual or as needed for registrations and audits and with Managing Directors and supervisors at the stations, monthly or more frequent to review action items; HR for any driver-specific or drug testing question.
- Participate in the development of a safe and healthy workplace. Comply with instructions given for their own safety and health and that of others, in adhering to safe work procedures. Co-operate with management in its fulfilment of its legislative obligations.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
