This role will focus on Manatee and Sarasota counties, offers a full benefit package with a hybrid office/remote schedule.

Qualifications
Job Summary: The Community Awareness Liaison is responsible for fostering relationships with current and prospective donors to ensure continued support for the organization's mission. This role involves stewarding donor relationships, coordinating communications, and executing strategies that enhance donor engagement and retention. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized, personable, and mission-driven individual with a passion for building lasting connections.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Donor Stewardship and Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with donors, ensuring their continued engagement with the organization.
- Act as a primary point of contact for donors, addressing inquiries, sharing updates, and providing excellent service.
- Create personalized communication plans to recognize donor contributions, including thank-you notes, reports, and event invitations.
- Develop and implement strategies for donor recognition programs, such as naming opportunities or appreciation events.
- Must meet or exceed annual fundraising goals.
Awareness Support:
- Collaborate with the Awareness team to create and execute donor retention and growth strategies.
- Represent the organization at events, fostering connections with attendees and promoting the organization’s mission.
- Assist in planning and executing fundraising campaigns and events.
- Identify opportunities to deepen donor involvement through volunteering, partnerships, or increased giving.
- Track donor giving trends to inform outreach efforts and strategies.
Communication and Reporting:
- Prepare tailored correspondence, impact reports, and updates to demonstrate how donor contributions are making a difference.
- Ensure donors receive timely updates on programs, initiatives, and milestones.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor records in the database, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data management policies.
Other duties as assigned
Education and/or Experience
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 2 years of experience in donor relations, fundraising, or related roles.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Proficiency in donor management software (e.g., Classy) and Google drive/documents
- Passion for Selah Freedom’s mission and a commitment to advancing its goals.
- Clean driving record preferred.

Work Schedule
- Typical work schedule is within the hours of 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday through Friday. Some work may involve nights, weekends, or after hours. Employee will receive proper notice beforehand.
