A stellar candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field, 10 years of professional utility accounting experience, and 10 years of supervisory experience.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee accounting, budgeting, and procurement/warehouse functions
- Recommend changes to accounting procedures for efficiency and ensure compliance with any accounting standards
- Prepare reports on business activity and financial position
- Direct depreciation rates for capital assets
- Manage investment portfolio with the investment advisor
- Evaluate financial operations and software for process improvements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- 10 years of professional utility accounting experience
- 10 years of supervisory experience
- Preferred: CPA designation and annual CPE
