Director of Finance/CFO

My client, a utilities company committed to providing reliable utility services dedicated to sustainable resources, is looking to bring on a Director of Finance/CFO to join their team in the beautiful, sunny east coast beach town of New Smyrna, Florida. A stellar candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field, 10 years of professional utility accounting experience, and 10 years of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee accounting, budgeting, and procurement/warehouse functions
• Recommend changes to accounting procedures for efficiency and ensure compliance with any accounting standards
• Prepare reports on business activity and financial position
• Direct depreciation rates for capital assets
• Manage investment portfolio with the investment advisor
• Evaluate financial operations and software for process improvements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• 10 years of professional utility accounting experience
• 10 years of supervisory experience
• Preferred: CPA designation and annual CPE
