Equities Product Manager

Job Title: Equities Product Manager

Work Model: NYC based, onsite

Comp: 200-700k total comp

Summary: A top hedge fund globally is hiring a Product Manager for their Equities group to lead initiatives and help enhance their platform. You will work on a wide variety of projects and products such as helping them trade in new markets, working on their trading systems, OMS or risk systems.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree
• 5 years of relevant experience
• Strong financial product knowledge (ideally Equities)
• Experience in product management (requirements gathering, stakeholder management, leading projects, building products 0-1)
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, excellent written documentation skills.
• Experience on risk management systems, OMS or trading systems and working closely with traders and business heads.
• Experience working with trading to identify pain points and collaboratively design solutions to remediate.
• Experience with Python, SQL or KDB ideal

Responsibilities:

• Work with traders to define scope, synthesize requirements, define approach and prioritize key projects.
• Analyze upstream/downstream data dependencies and create BRD/FRD, JIRA tickets and projects plans.
• Manage day to day project deliverables; highlight, escalate and resolve issues, conflicts and roadblocks.
• Create and manage product roadmaps
• Lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from ideation to launch, ensuring alignment with business goals and market needs.
