A prestigious hedge fund is seeking a Portfolio Analyst to work alongside an experienced Portfolio Manager. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, contributing to high-stakes investment decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize Excel for Bloomberg to pull data and build complex spreadsheets.
- Conduct research and analysis using BQNT (BQUANT in Bloomberg) or Python for Bloomberg.
- Communicate effectively with team members and anticipate potential issues.
- Willingness from time to time to be on desk by 6:00 AM to follow and report early market action, especially during significant London price activity.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Comprehensive experience with Excel for Bloomberg and building complex Excel sheets using Bloomberg data.
- Strong understanding of BQNT (BQUANT in Bloomberg) or Python for Bloomberg and Python programming for research.
- Superb communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Willingness to support from time to time on 'out of job description' activities.
'Nice to have' Qualifications:
- Experience with XGBOOST and other AI/ML programming areas.
- Knowledge of Options (calls, puts) and multi-leg Options structures.
