Overview
SDM is looking for a knowledgeable and people-oriented Talent Acquisition Specialist to support our Talent Acquisition department. The Talent Acquisition Specialist provides high-quality support to our fast-paced recruiting needs, while building relationships with candidates and company stakeholders alike.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Search, source, and recruit top candidates (corporate, practice-level, and dentists) in various states, utilizing job boards, external recruiters, and direct sourcing/referrals.
- Continuously source passive practice and doctor-level candidates.
- Post open job opportunities using multiple sources, including job boards, company website, industry job boards, and social media.
- Create and maintain job descriptions and postings on the applicant tracking system (ATS), refreshing and reposting as needed.
- Evaluate candidate resumes and manage job applications to ensure timely responses.
- Perform initial assessments and prescreening of candidates and produce interview summaries.
- Maintain up-to-date information in the ATS.
- Leverage contact leads and email marketing platforms (e.g., MailChimp) to attract top talent.
- Act as a point of contact to build positive relationships with candidates and company stakeholders throughout the recruitment process.
- Communicate with practice and corporate leaders to expedite, coordinate, and follow up during and after interviews.
- Generate, send, and track accurate offer letters, as required.
- Process background checks and manage completed reports as needed.
- Provide onboarding guidance, ensuring all required documents and compliance forms are completed before the start date.
- Collaborate with the HR team to ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new hires.
- Track onboarding progress and gather feedback to refine and improve the onboarding process.
- Assist in building and maintaining relationships with schools, associations, and professional networks to develop a pipeline for SDM.
- Regularly attend and present at conferences, trade shows, and school events to attract top talent.
- Assist practices with in-house talent acquisition events and activities.
- Support the HR team with various talent-related initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company hiring policies and legal regulations.
- Manage and improve recruitment reporting and metrics.
- Other duties and projects as required.

Education & Experience
- 2 years prior experience in a high-volume recruitment capacity, preferably in the medical or dental field.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Human Resources.
- Proven track-record of owning coordination processes and providing extraordinary candidate experience.
- Experience with various selection processes (video interviewing, phone interviewing, etc.) and scheduling/sending interview reminders.
- Familiarity with social media and recruiting platforms (e.g., really, LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.).
- Must have experience working with hiring leaders/managers and understanding their needs.
- Strong passion for Recruitment and Human Resources space.
- Working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now, preferred.
